Louis Ricky Skilz Porter, a Chicago native, grew up on the south side. Knew he could do more than write his name with a pencil. Winning local art contests Louis knew he was going to be an artist at an early age. After leaving Hyde Park he went to Lewis University to study sociology, then meeting one Mr Melvin King who introduced him to acrylic painting, then Kevin  Williams when she studied under for several years.

 

Being self-taught and knowing how to hustle his talent he ran into one Stephon Marbury which gave him the name skilz... Then the beginning of his celebrity art career took place.  Up to date he's an activist working with several programs in the community even O block, because he knew how art can change lives because it changed his.
